Right before diving into a drawing/painting, I like to warm up by doing a 15-30 min sketch to loosen up. Here are two recent ones that really put a smile to my face. Why? They look so silly and I’m starting to wonder just how many ways Chairman Badfunk or the “mini-funks” can be interpreted.
Not being redundant is also important and is an exercise itself. Keeps the creative juices flowing I think.
