7 Artists, 1 Goal

I don’t collaborate on art as much as I’d like, so when those chances come, I really enjoy it. With that in mind, I wasn’t originally set to work on the piece pictured below but somehow it happened. I’m glad I did as I was able to add something to this pretty cool image.

Satellitesoda planned to introduce 4 new members to the crew and to make the occasion special, we decided a collaborative piece by the 4 new members would be great to have at announcement time. Once they finished the line-art, Dylan McCrae, Fabian “Monk” Schlaga and I ended up doing different aspects of the coloring that had to be done to complete the piece.

Enter the Newbs

SatelliteSoda has been around for the better part of 5 years now, and every once in a blue freaking moon SatelliteSoda decides to expand its ranks… for better or worse, this time we decided expanding by more than 50% was a good idea, so we picked 4 random names from a hat and came up with some interesting results.

It was an interesting process and while it took longer than expected, I think the result came out rather well. Check the post link below, download the full image and show the new guys some love. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Space Funk

Here’s a rough concept that I wasn’t sure I was gonna finish up but I now have reason to. It’s Chairman Badfunk from the SatelliteSodaverse. Click image to see a slightly higher res:

The cool thing about this one is that it will be done in 3d by joejoejoejoe if everything goes as planned. Check out the link above to see how he kicks it.

I swear this year’s book is gonna be badass with how everything is shaping up.

Satellitesoda Collab

I hope he doesn’t mind but here’s the only preview you’ll get of my collab with Kris Anka from Satellitesoda. It’s in real early stages but that’s why it’s alright, this is only like less than like 5% of the actual image. It’s for the newest Satellitesoda book to be released this summer. You’re just gonna have to wait till then to see the whole thing.
