While the main purpose of the Alpha project was to create “super soldiers” capable of maintaining peace during times of instability, there were other reasons as well for its creation. One was to shift the actual course of governments and economies via assassinations and other clandestine missions. Think tanks were created to ensure that missions that had a purpose of greater good could achieved.
A Brief History
It was important to identify what needed to be changed and how. After all, interfering with global economical and political forces is not something to be taken lightly. In the end, whoever calls the shots needs to have an impartial view of things, which isn’t an easy trait to possess. As such, the Alpha Project could only serve its meant purpose if it was managed properly.
In 1984 the Alpha Corporation was founded as the base for the technological advances in weaponry for modern warfare. Originally based in the Soviet Union in order to facilitate the fall of the communist regime among other undisclosed reasons, it was later moved to somewhere in the US.
While based in the US, the super soldier project was apparently dropped in favor of a more feasible, weapons project. It was to be focused on development of future weapon technologies. However, this was move was done to throw off any suspicions on their real work.
In reality, the Alpha Corporation split into two divisions, one was AlphaCorp, which would be the weapons manufacturer and supplier. The other was the AlphaCore division, which dealt with the living weapon project. This would be the renewed vision of the original super soldier project. History would prove that both projects working in tandem would be quite a force to reckon with.
